Hey. I’m Joel, but you can call me “Java Joel”. That’s my “radio name”. Anyway- Glad to be on “the killer B” – B-993. Born in Potsdam and grew up in Brasher Falls. Shout-out to the SLC Class Of ’92! Went to SUNY Oswego for radio but, as it turns out, I spent more time at the college radio station, WNYO, than I did studying, soooo… They ask me to “take a break”, so I did and ended up getting a job… at 99.3 FM in Potsdam! That was waaaay back in 1994 when the station was “99 Hits FM”. Flash forward nearly 30 years later… and I’m back!!!! Since then I’ve made stops in Syracuse, Rochester, Chicago and Cleveland. Most recently I held down the afternoon show at 94-7 Hits FM in Montreal – where I was for the last 15 years. A lifetime in radio! Glad to be back on the station that gave me my 1st shot.
